Very sunny today!
Still it's zero degrees (which, in the logical centigrade scale, is on the edge of freezing :D).
I didn't want to go outside, so here's some sunny pics through the glass:

Allright, took my camera out to take some pics of my car radio settings.
I went for a drive to set it up properly. Still have to take the pics.
Glad I took my camera with me, because it was so beautiful. I actually got out of the car and took a stroll, which is rare for me. I think walking goes too slow :D.

This one's still out of the car. It's so blue :D
There's no streetview for most of these areas yet.
But this picture is made
here

I parked the car after I took this picture. Looks so much better with no windscreen between the sun and the camera :)

For the Netherlands, that's actually quite hilly

http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...r/IMG_3136.jpg
A valley with some birch (?) trees.
There's actually wild horses running around there.
They must have been somewhere in the woods now, couldn't find them

Apparently my area is supposed to be getting the storm of the century, with thundersnow, freezing rain, lotsa windchill, and possibly tornadoes. Joyous joy of joys.

s_k 02-01-2011 04:13 PM

Pleeeasseeee take pictures :)

Raining, snow, ice, what ever the hell else might happen.

s_k 02-01-2011 05:32 PM

Send some of the snow here please.
WE have the ice already. It's very slippery outside apparently.

Buzzov*en 02-01-2011 05:33 PM

Dude I am sick of snow already here. We got destroyed a few days after christmast and have been getting snow just about every week.

I am so ready to move back down to Florida or out to Cali.

s_k 02-01-2011 05:37 PM

I love snow. I can't help it, I just love snow.

Dirty 02-01-2011 05:52 PM

Biggest winter i've experienced in awhile. Classes were canceled, got a bit of snow and ice last night. It was pretty icy on campus. Hoping class is canceled tomorrow since my tutoring session today was canceled and I have an exam tomorrow. I guess we are supposed to get a ton of sleet and freezing rain again tonight. I am glad I don't have to drive anywhere.

poppie 02-01-2011 05:54 PM

I can't stand it myself, i loved it when i was a kid but now i hate it! if i
had the chance i would move to southern texas. but i am stuck up here in the neverland :D

Burning Down 02-01-2011 05:56 PM

We're supposed to get about 1 foot of snow overnight tonight from a huge storm that stretching from Chicago to Montreal. That's on top of the foot that's already on the ground.

Buzzov*en 02-01-2011 06:14 PM

This is what it looked like at its worst here.

I'm sure that when you look beyond the cars it's really beautiful.
But I should admit that it's a bit unpractical :D

captaincaptain 02-01-2011 09:18 PM

70 degrees tomorrow!

s_k 02-02-2011 06:36 AM

It must be awful to feel unsatisified in your own skin :D

Dirty 02-02-2011 06:43 AM

Sleet and freezing rain all night here. Campus closed for the second day in a row. Sweet.

Bloozcrooz 02-02-2011 06:47 AM

Its finally cooling back off a little here....Gonna put on a long sleeve to go with my shorts today....brrrrrrr

Burning Down 02-02-2011 06:49 AM

University is closed due to excessive amounts of snow! Woohoo!

ThePhanastasio 02-02-2011 07:05 AM

Snow missed my area, but we've got rain of biblical proportions and insane gusts of wind. The wind keeps knocking the power out.

I just heard that Queensland, Australia is expecting a category 5 hurricane and possibly more flooding. I don't recall if we have any members living there, but if you do (and if you see this of course), stay safe!!!

s_k 02-02-2011 07:47 AM

Thoughtful of you, Burning Down.
And indeed, please be safe and keep your internet connection going :D.
Good luck folks :)

A cyclone is a hurricane. That's the name for it in the Southern Hemisphere, and it also spins the other way. Other than that, it is exactly the same storm. Cyclone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

djchameleon 02-02-2011 08:05 AM

yeah I knew about the whole spinning in the opposite direction but okay...didn't realize it was the same thing. Their newscasters kept saying cyclone so I thought it was slightly different.

Burning Down 02-02-2011 08:08 AM

I think that's just the term being used over the news wires.

Connair 02-02-2011 09:59 AM

A high of 12 today. -11 with windchill.

alli-oop 02-02-2011 10:30 AM

6C and sunny today in vacouver. Forecasters said we'd get a lot of snow this winter. Yeah, so far it's snowed twice and was melted the next day. So much for that.

s_k 02-02-2011 10:34 AM

6c? Celcius? Finally someone who does celcius :D

You want snow? Come out here to Toronto, we're getting pummeled with it as I'm writing this. Most schools and even some universities in Southern Ontario are closed today.

I think Americans are the only ones who still use Fahrenheit and other imperial measurements regularly.

Right now it's about -8 C and snowing like there's no tomorrow.

s_k 02-02-2011 10:53 AM

I thought the brits were using Fahrenheit too
