Our state we live in which is massachusetts we have a chain law! we are not
allowed to put chains on our tires. i think that sucks! they should reverse this law. otherwise they will be more and more accidents and injuries and even deaths i have an suv myself and even with that i cannot drive on black ice!.
i think its a crapy ass law and one that should be fixed, at least allow us to put some type of grippers on our tires even with the best set of winter tires
can't make it anywhere.

Howard the Duck 01-22-2011 05:19 AM

sunny hot day in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

that's to make up for the overcast and frequent heavy rains for the past four months

CanwllCorfe 01-22-2011 11:44 AM

18° F (-8° C) right now. With the wind chill it's 10° F (-12° C).

Same here. There is not enough snow here so the chains destroy the roads.
They are thinking of making a law that says we have to use winter tyres during the winter... Right... People just need to learn how to ****ing drive. I did a road trip on the snowiest days of this year. We were with three guys, all of us know how to drive a car and we didn't slip or get stuck once, while on the news there was accident after accident after accident. It's time they teach people how to drive in snow.

I love the guy going 'that was amazing'.
I figured I should be ashamed of myself for thinking 'I WANT THIS TOOOOO', but even he thinks it's amazing. Nevermind the busted windows or the dented car. You want to see this once in your life :D.

poppie 01-22-2011 06:50 PM

I saw something like that a few years back myself wow! like omg
it was really coming down. on the weather map a huge big red and

there will be a dangerous windchills of 30 below zero!
and the temps tomorrow will be in the single numbers! ouch!!
winds blowing tonight and tomorrow between 20 to 35 MPH.

poppie 01-23-2011 04:25 PM

bonesaw-orchestra 01-23-2011 04:30 PM

it snowed about 2 feet last night. our driveway was completely covered, and people got stuck all over the place. It's been three months of winter, and there's three months left. I can't wait to ****ing move and never come back during October - April.

djchameleon 01-23-2011 04:37 PM

where would you go?

Astronomer 01-23-2011 04:39 PM

You guys haven't seen hail until you've seen hail that does this to your car:

Happened last year :(

Southern Ontario, because their "cold" days are approximately -25 with windchill. it's usually -25 plus windchill here in the winter :P anywhere from -30 to -50 degrees Celsius. I have warm enough clothes, it's just depressing to be under snow for six months of the year.

poppie 01-23-2011 05:15 PM

We had straight line wind damage in a huge thunder storm last year.
large hail stones strong winds of 80 mph! really nasty,
clouds were really dark and yellowish warning horns were sounding off and everything very scary.

Florida is amazing. It's seemingly always sunny, and warm. (I've only been here a month, and I'm basking in it).

here too mostly except when it rains, it really pours (Malaysia)

poppie 01-26-2011 02:28 PM

Not us another foot or more of the white stuff for tomorrow.
its coming down like crazy now overnight tonight the worse will be.
and will linger into friday. our cites snow removal is running out of places
to put the snow that out there already, i would say there is at least
5 foot snowbanks out there now! from plows.

Hank The Drifter 01-26-2011 03:25 PM

Here in Georgia its been kinda rainy the last two days and a bit windy but the temperatures have been the warmest they have all year. I think its been in the high 40s-Mid 50s the last two days. Although it rained most all day yesterday. Today it only rained a bit this morning.

Janszoon 01-26-2011 03:59 PM

Right here, right now, the weather sucks. There's a severe weather warning in effect, snow on the ground, sleet coming out of the sky and the temperature is dropping rapidly. It's just about the worst driving conditions possible and now fun to walk anywhere in either, which is what I did a little while ago.

Nothing exciting here. Gray, mainly.
Bits of sun.
Nice sunset though, yesterday:

Little update on my weather situation. It's snowing and I swear I just saw lightning and heard thunder. Weird, weird shit.

Hank The Drifter 01-26-2011 05:47 PM

That's pretty much perfect looking to me S K. It really put me in the mind of a picture Fen might use for something, haha.

I like freezing cold. But this was the only really nice sky that day.
Bit greyish the rest of the day.

poppie 01-26-2011 06:14 PM

I don't mind the cold. Granted it doesn't get as cold here as it does other places so what I mean by cold is entirely different than what others call cold, lol.

Poppie, that's absolutely crazy looking. All the snow I've seen in my life combined would equal half of what's right there I don't think, lol.

Buzzov*en 01-26-2011 06:46 PM

Snowing/hailing/thunder and lightning.

I am so ready to move back down south again or out to Cali.

Snow & Thunder.
Brilliant :D.

This is a webcam click of a city nearby (about 4 miles). It's live and you can even control the cam.
Whenever you want to know what it's like here, have a look there :D
Bit rainy now. And they're building up the market now as it's market day tomorrow :).

I walk there quite often by the way :D.
Even waved to the camera last week :D.

It's forecasted to be 40 degrees C on Sunday which is the day of Big Day Out music festival. Fuck. My. Life. I will probably die.

khfreek 01-27-2011 09:48 PM

If you lived at the correct latitude it would be winter! Nice and chilly here.

Howard the Duck 01-27-2011 09:58 PM

weather's freaky as hell - pre-Chinese New Year here is always sunny and breezy, not overcast and gloomy

Well you should probably give up doing fun things outside of work to meet the expectations of your students anyway. Every kid knows teachers aren't real people!

poppie 01-27-2011 11:33 PM

Think thats bad you should see the polar bears a group of
people. every year they take a plumge into the icy cold salt water!
and do their thing, swimming, jummping around, splshing each other.
not talking just men too wemon and childern familes, in 30 degree
water i don't think so!.
