http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...smileys/a9.gif It's very cold here (at least that's what I feel now), especially at nights. Only 2 ºC (35.6 ºF). It is because of the altitude (about 650 metres above sea level).

FETCHER. 12-06-2011 05:51 PM

Snowing. It's great at first, but I just want to get places faster now man :(.

s_k 12-06-2011 05:52 PM

Haha, "noooo, no brakes!!!" will make you go faster than you want to eventually :D

God I love winter.

Driztdor 12-08-2011 10:48 AM

First snow.. but it's melting atm.

ThePhanastasio 12-26-2011 09:02 PM

It has not snowed a single time here. Today was in the fifties.

Last year, it literally snowed every day in the month of December. Weird.

CanwllCorfe 12-26-2011 09:03 PM

We had snow around Halloween, but none at all for at least over a month. I don't see any in the forecast anytime soon either.

Burning Down 12-26-2011 09:26 PM

No snow here either. Rained a bit on Christmas :(

ThePhanastasio 12-26-2011 09:29 PM

Aww, that sucks. I like snow, in reasonable amounts. I don't think last year was a reasonable amount, but area schools getting out for roughly 3-4 total snow days in December and January is perfectly acceptable. Here's to hoping for a little bit of snow in the New Year, although with how unseasonably warm it's been thus far, I'm not really holding my breath.

CanwllCorfe 12-26-2011 09:45 PM

As long as we don't have the relentless snow we did last year in January-February, I'll be happy. We honestly got at least 1-2" a week for at least a month. I wanted to kill myself.

s_k 01-03-2012 04:53 PM

it's REALLY windy today!

Burning Down 01-03-2012 05:26 PM

It was so cold today: -26°C (-14°F). Supposed to be like this tomorrow too.

s_k 01-03-2012 06:03 PM

Not even close to being cold here :(.
We've had literally no winter

We've had no real winter here until last week.

s_k 01-03-2012 06:08 PM

Send some of it to me if you please :D

NSW 01-03-2012 06:11 PM

No real winter? Last week it was 70 degrees out, and I was wearing shorts and a tank top.

I'd love to see some snow about now, but I'd settle for being able to see my breath when I walk outside.

s_k 01-03-2012 06:15 PM

It's 6 degrees centigrade here, now, at 2:14am.
During the day it's about 10 to 12 degrees.
It's stupendous. It's january and we've had no freezing, no snow and no real winter feel whatsoever. It's been windy and rainy for the last two months or so. It's the strangest thing, I can't remember having ever had a 'winter' like this.

FETCHER. 01-04-2012 12:15 AM

It snowed here a while back but it was only a few inches. We had no white christmas this year and it was really warm on christmas day strangely. I'm sure it was around 12/13 degrees. No jacket weather on christmas day haha. Now its windy "because of hurricanes" (its just a windy day, ****ing media) everyones glass bins were being blown over in the wind last night. Kept me up. Spot my house as the alcoholic dependant family who's bin never blew over :).

ThePhanastasio 01-04-2012 05:14 AM

It actually snowed here yesterday, but it was just a dusting that didn't even cover the ground, before the precipitation moved along. Then, it got warm enough to melt the snow. It's like, 19 degrees now, the coldest it's been all year, but I'm still not going to get used to the cold; it's supposed to be in the fifties Friday.

FETCHER. 01-04-2012 05:27 AM

Celsius? :O

Probably Fahrenheit. I don't think its THAT hot in Kentucky at the moment.

ThePhanastasio 01-06-2012 04:01 AM

Yeah, it was Fahrenheit.

Yesterday morning, it was 8 DEGREES (also Fahrenheit) and what is it now? Just 24 hours later?

****ing 50 degrees.

It's no wonder that everyone around here keeps getting sick. No way to acclimate to the weather makes for unhappy immune systems, I'd imagine.

CanwllCorfe 01-09-2012 03:39 PM

Been quite mild lately! It's routinely been in the 40s, and even 50s. It's supposed to get in the 30s, which I'm fine with. It's January. That's to be expected. I still can't wait for spring though, since I like to see everything come back to life.

s_k 01-09-2012 06:00 PM

We've had literally no real frost at all this winter.
It's unbelievable. We've had a couple of days with -1 or -2 degrees celcius, but no frozen ponds, no slippery roads, no snow :(.
Makes me sad.

Astronomer 01-09-2012 11:25 PM

Hottttt.... was 40 degrees the other day. 40 degrees CELSIUS, bastards. That's like... a million degrees Fahrenheit.

Eeeewwww...I feel your pain. I think it got up to 42C here this past summer. I hope you have a good cooling system!

ThePhanastasio 01-10-2012 10:41 PM

Upper forties lower fifties all day. Right now, it's about at the low with 42, but it is 12:30am.

Tomorrow will be in the fifties with a low of 40 in the overnight, before dropping to 20 on Thursday.

So, it will go from 12 celsius tomorrow (today, technically) to -6 Celsius in a little over 24 hours. Joy.

ThePhanastasio 01-13-2012 03:12 AM

It is windy as ****, and there's snow on the ground. Got to experience thunder and lightning while it snowed, which is something I don't recall having seen before.

It's cold, and it's miserable, but it's different. I dig different.

s_k 01-13-2012 05:08 PM

Grey. Grey. And... Grey.
Has been this way since the beginning of November :(

Farfisa 01-14-2012 05:04 AM

It was so warm here a week ago I could walk around in just a t-shirt. Now it's so cold I have to wear a sweater, jacket, and a scarf. Maryland weather has always been a finicky bastard.

ThePhanastasio 01-23-2012 03:35 AM

The night before last, my friends and I wound up driving twenty minutes to go to a friend's birthday pub crawl. It was around 20 degrees, and snowing. We were going about 35 on the Interstate.

Now, at 5:30 in the morning, it is 60 degrees.

On the one hand, I'm still irritated that the weather won't make up its mind. On the other, I'm excited to finally get to start running because my sickness has fallen off somewhat, and it's warm.

It is kind of rainy and thunderstormy though. That may stop the running from happening.

guest_star 01-23-2012 07:30 AM

cols as ice

it is such an augly weather in romania! i hate it

LuckyLovexoxoxxx 01-26-2012 12:36 AM

Its really cold in northern California and I can't stand it. I'm ready for summer weather or usually in may/june its like rainy with 60/70 degree weather but in September/october the weather is 80/90/100 degrees out its insane

ThePhanastasio 01-26-2012 07:36 AM

My mother and I decided, for all intents and purposes, we were just going to start referring to the current weather as spring, instead of saying, "This is the weirdest winter..."

Where I live, we often get a little bit of snow in fall, as it gets colder, and even some in spring. It feels more like spring because when the snow comes in, there's always warm weather coming in right behind it. Plus, it's really rainy.

Today, we have a flood warning. If we got the cold front, it would be snowing...and we'd be expecting 1-2 feet of snow. As it's expected to be around 60 degrees today, it's just going to be a **** ton of rain.

ThePhanastasio 03-06-2012 08:18 AM

3/2/12: Almost 70 degrees and sunny.
3/3/12: Hail, thunderstorms, and tornadoes in the area.
3/4/12: Snow. No accumulation until night.
3/5/12: There is magically an inch and a half of snow on the ground. Oh, wait, now it's noon and the snow that's been here for three whole hours is completely gone now.
3/6/12: 50s and sunny.

I feel like I'm being Punk'd by the weather. It's just done this madness all winter.

Garrett 03-06-2012 08:30 AM

60°F / 15°C and high winds, grass fires are getting a little too close for comfort.

Grass fires burning across NE Oklahoma - FOX23 News

The largest fire is burning near 241st & Harvard in the Liberty-Mounds area, I`m at 221st.
