again with computer problems...i bought a regular ATA drive this time, tried to install it, computer freezes up....i have no idea what i'm doing wrong, please someone, help....
it says on the back of the HD to put the jumper to second place if you want to choose cable select, i put the jumpers on both drives ( the main one and the aditional one ) like that and connected the aditional HD on the same cable as the main one only with the grey connector ( just like it says on the back of the HD )... when i remove the new one, everything works fine, when i put the new one, the computer goes bezerk....*cries*

Bump...
I have a bit of a problem. I recently restored my computer to factory settings, all my **** was erased. I got it all back after a week or two of work, oh and by the way, this is was due to a Trojan virus. So now, happy again, a fresh laptop with all my files. My norton antivirus expired, and since I'm a cheap ass too pay $70 again, I got no protection. After surfing the web, I got a new virus within a week. ****! It is something like ThinkPoint, or at least it was an icon that displayed. So my question is, anyone know how to get rid of it? I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran three scans, deleted the infected files, but still, it remains active. And what free Antivirus software do you guys know of or use? |
