Was The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy from the USA? Peter Jackson isn't from the USA, he's from New Zealand or Australia isn't he?

tom said it right, the film is usually attributed to the country of it's producers, you don't actually think new zealand companies could have produced such a monster do you? the company that pays for the film is the one credited for it. new line cinema is american as far as i know. otherwise you could say that the matrix is an australian film, or that mary full of grace is columbian ( it's filmed entirely in spanish but it's still an american film ).

no, but you're a very small country and i would imagine you don't have many production companies that could set aside some 300 million dollars for the making of one film....i could be wrong though...

Best ****ing movie ever and nothing will ever beat it.

LOTR thrilogy (USA)
Long boring pieces of crap that ****ed up the books for me and it's for 40 year old geeks/nerds and *** couples.

trainspotting (UK )
crap

the passion of the christ (USA)
If I want to read tiny font for two hours I'll read a book thanks. But it's a nice fictional story though! lol. Why isn't the bible in the fictional section of any store? Someone please explain why I got in trouble for moving it there.

gegen die wand(Germany)
no, no, no.

todo sobre mi madre(Spain)
You and your foreign movies, I haven't seen this one, but I'm going by the title and guessing it's crap. And I'll skip the next load of foriegn crap too.

crouching tiger hidden dragon(China)
I thought it was okay but I watched the ****ty subtitled version (there's a dubbed version isn't there?).

hero(China)
Almost fell asleep. Did Quentin even do anything in it?

vera drake(UK)
Too dark. And I like seeing babies murdered more than anyone but whatever.

Quote:
american beauty(USA)
Yeah, not bad. I've seen it twice and don't plan on seeing it again.

the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind(USA)
The idea was okay, but the execution was pitiful. I can't believe the screenplay earned an academy award (even though they're almost meaningless and it was up against no competition). I like Kaufman but man did it suck...were we even meant to give a **** about the main characters? Jesus, and I love Carey too. I walked out of that pissed off.
Quote:
being john malkovich(USA)
Displays Kaufman's genius but probably a little too weird for me. I like weird **** but this felt like it was weird for the sake of being weird.

Quote:
adaptation(USA)
Wow you love Kaufman! This movie was pretty awesome, but don't think it's worthy to be purchased.

.....and so on....
Did you forget to like name...I dunno, ultimate movies? Where the **** is Shawshank Redemption? And A Beautiful Mind?

Along with Matrix they make up the tri-force of ultimate movies lol.

Peter Jackson is from New Zealand and the film was filmed in New Zealand, but the producers of the film were American I think. As the story was British and most of the actors were American or British then it was pretty international, but the country of the producers gets first dibs.

Thinking about it, only the rubbish actors in the film were American. Elijah Wood and Liv Tyler. Ok, Sean Astin was good, but he sounded British in the movie anyway... Yeah, we get Lord of the Rings, along with the Kiwis (the Aussies can have a bit of the action too, for giving us Hugo Weaving and Cate Blanchett).
