Peter Jackson is from New Zealand and the film was filmed in New Zealand, but the producers of the film were American I think. As the story was British and most of the actors were American or British then it was pretty international, but the country of the producers gets first dibs.

k, is it really that important what country its from? This is jibbers leaving thread not a movies discussion. Like, MB is been falling back into its "everythread turning into an arguement that has nothing to do with the topic" mode again, tis kinda ridiculous.
