Do you guys make music with computers?
 

You guys make music using computer looping software? Like Acid 5.0 and stuff, I use acid 5.0 and its cool, I just started using it.

I just recently found Acid Pro 5.0 with a keygen so I've been messing around with the midi synths but I don't like it too much. I do like using Audacity and a $5.00 mic to record guitar or vocal tracks and add effects to them. It is fun to turn vocals around to stupid fast guitar tracks with a root bass accompanyment.

Well i just dont use lyrics because i cant sing :)
"find" some loops for acid, and i got 1000s now and its pretty sweet.

I mostly use Cakewalk Sonar for my compositions. Or Finale 2006 for the mini ones.

I tried to get the new Sonar but I couldn't find a keygen, crack, or working serial (I'm cheap). Is it any good?

Well, considering it's what I use, it must be good, 'cause of how uber pro I am at composing and stuff.

Seriously though, I don't think it really matters what you use, it's your f-ing keyboard that matters the most.

I guess technically I do make music on my computer. I use guitar pro and just exported the files to WAV and put them on cd's to give to some people. And converted them also to mp3 to post on soundclick. Does that count?

I make music on my computer sometime. I use mostly Fruity Loops and Audacity. I usually make a basic song on Fruity Loops, then turn it into an mp3 file, and open that mp3 file in Audacity. From there, I add guitar, bass, keyboard, or whatever other non-computer instrument I want. Then I mix all that into an mp3 file and do whatever I want to do with it.

Sometimes I decide to make some noise music using just Audacity. I usually add some sort of drum track to that as well.

I've tried using Guitar Pro to organize my riffs and develop songs, but it just pissed me off. Maybe if I had learned more about music theory.

So now if I come up with some tasty riff while jamming I'll remember it for about a week and then it will be lost to this world.

When I use Acid music studio, I have the following issue. I record my first track and everything is fine. Then I try to record the second track to play over it, and I get the really obtrusive echo from the first track. With this issue it's hard to make anything that sounds really good. Does anyone know a solution to this? Or some freeware that doesn't have this problem?
