I would'nt even call rap music! It's pure crap.
Rock is where it's at! C'mon at least it has emotion, and has actual meaning behind it. Unlike *ahem* rap... 'singing' about getting laid, being a badass pimp and drugs! Work out what ones the better one :P

Seems strange that some people are criticizing the first guy for being close minded before labelling all rap as rubbish. Check out De La Soul, Public Enemy, Rage Against the Machine, early Run DMC and Grandmaster Flash for some wonderfully creative music.
Mainstream rap music is as diluted as mainstream rock. It doesn't tell the whole story of the genre at all, as rock fans get annoyed by people who judge all rock music based on listening to Creed and Limp Bizkit. |

By most rap I assume you're referring to mainstream rap, the stuff that is forced down people's throats along with Britney and Creed? That is not indicative of rap music in general, and some rap music is quite simply incredible.

I don't know...I think most hip-hop is a lot better than rap. Most rap is going main stream and sung by people who have no idea what they are talking about. I mean Biggie went to private school...how rough was his life? It's just a continuous cycle. The lyrics don't really mean much. Maybe it's just me.
