You missed out the fact that about the only band he`d heard of over the last 10 years was Audioslave

That was such good times.

Well, I just read the Rolling Stone artical. Do we really need a rebirth or classic rock? It already had its day, now it is just played out. Sure, it has its moments, but it is gone. New music is always being made, and if you look for it, you will find good music. If only people weren't lazy.

In the artical it says that there are now albums in the past 15 years that blew anyone away. I disagree. Elephant was an amazing album. Illmatic was one of THE BEST hip hop albums of all time, it was on a completely different level. OK Computer & The Bends, both are classic albums. I am so sick of the classic rock revival thing. It never went anywhere, it doesnt need to be brought back. As long as there are 40 year old men, classic rock will be aruond. Whether that is good or bad ,the world may never know.

The article was saying that most albums today are soulless and I think they made the assumption that you can't listen to 3 albums non-stop.

this thread reminded me of that huge (and pointless) beatles vs. stones thread. well, after some exstensive research on google, I've found the answer. And it's on the internet, so it must be true.
