I received a real pearl necklace, earrings and bracelet. Just the usual DVDs, bits and bobs aside from that. My Christmas money went to the Grinch, aka rent.

4 Books:

The man in the High Castle - Philip K. ****
Solaris - Stanislaw Lem
Towers of Midnight - Robert Jordan
Get Thee to a Punnery - Richard Lederer

2 DVDs:

Monster - Dylan Moran (which I've wanted for ages)
Dress to Kill - Eddie Izzard (which isn't as good as Definite Article.. oh well)

Homemade Fudge from my sister, mmmm

aaand 190 euro, which was about 100 more than I was expecting tbh. Oh well, it'll pay for obscenely costly christmas flights to sheffield...

There's also a 1 TB External in the post somewhere, but I've no idea when I'm getting that one...

I'm jealous...I wish I had the money to build my own computer. It's so satisfying knowing every component was hand picked by me.

Man, now I miss living in Asia. The electronics are first rate and dirt cheap...I built a computer that would have cost me $2500 here in the US for about $1000 a few years ago. Actually, a long while ago...that thing is a piece of **** now, but when I first built it it tore ass around every other computer.

That was before I had done any organizing. It looks much less cluttered now. I mainly ran everything through the other side of the case, but I did use a couple zipties.
