I got a little bit more than expected this year. My dad got me a sweet Citizen solar watch that looks awesome and actually already fits to my wrist. Whenever I get a watch that uses links instead of a strap, it is always far too big on my wrists and would come up to my hand, so not having to go get a link or two knocked out is pretty cool.
My dad also got me a new pair of sunglasses that look pretty decent on me and are just expensive enough for me to actually want to take proper care of them. My dad also regifted a few Futureshop coupons to me giving me $50 credit in the store, plus a buddy of mine is working at one tomorrow so I asked him to hold a copy of the new Call of Duty game for me so I don't have to fight the masses to grab one. Perhaps my most unique gift is a music journal that helps you keep track of your music in a non-digital way. I figure I'll probably end up filling two or three of them in 2011 but I'm going to try and utilize it to its full potentially, perhaps it may help me remember more about the albums I grab. Oh I also got some money which I am using to help get me out of some debt and get me off to a positive start in the next year that will hopefully see some savings beginning to amount. |

Don't bother when your PC has some older hardware. It's often pretty ****ty to get the right drivers. And make sure you at least have 2gigs of RAM. You'll be needing that.
I run windows 7 pro and ultimate here. Didn't really pay for it, sorry. I mean, it's not like I would if I had to. In that case I'd just install Ubuntu . I bought five XP Licences and two 2000 licenses throughout the years. I always buy microsoft input devices and I have bought quite some microsoft games. I think they've made enough money out of me by now. Eitherway, Windows 7 runs good. I put the taskbar back to normal, quick launch included. The Image viewer sucks (you can't delete or rotate fullscreen) and auto arrange of icons in folders is really annoying (renaming files makes them move around all the time). But apart from that, it's fast (faster than Vista), stable and the search function is utterly brilliant.

It's a Tascam Pocketstudio DP-004 portable recorder. I have no idea how to use it yet, because I've been too sick to do anything and I don't know anything about this type of thing. It probably won't be anything amazing, but it would be really nice to use to get some ideas down .
