i don't want to be misunderstood here, money is a non issue with people that i value and respect as real friends, and i would gladly pay for them anytime without even thinking about it. this whole thing is about those friends that you hang out with just so you'd have someone to go out with

Well come here then, all or nothing is getting archaic here on dates. If you even suggested paying for the whole thing more than once here they'd refuse; Angrily.

One time I offered to pay on a date and I could feel the Feminist argument coming out through her eyes. I was like "ooooooor we could both pay"

i guess it's all about education
and if they take it as some sort of "business" or just a good deed

it depends on the people you hang with

and another thing we have in my small village, there is no such thing as going dutch....you either pay for the whole thing or you don't pay at all because someone else does. and here, well first of all, everyone is dead broke, so going dutch is like a rule.....i get really embaressed and when i go for coffe or out i always offer to pay, actually i insist because i feel like a total retard if someone else pays for me.....and here's the thing, they never offer to pay.....never!! fucking cheapskates!! like last time i was out, everytime i went to get some beer i would ask everyone that was with me if they wanted some, and so i bought half of them drinks, and the polite thing to do is to call the next round.....a-ha....only one person did that ( he's a totally stand up guy and the only one i can stand ) the rest just took me up on my offer...and get this, when they were thursty, you know what they did? they sneaked to the bar and had a drink there so they would have to pay for anyone else.....how fucked is that?!

Stay in Croatia, or wherever it is that you live. America is probably the most spoiled country in the world. there isnt a soul living here, or in any big city for that matter, that wont smile at you while they steal your loot.

It's not an obligation to return the favour, but it is polite. I guess someone shouting a round of drinks is the equivalent of second base.

An open tab would be like a homerun
I still owe you a round of coffee...

The money problems with me is how much my friends have My family is pretty wealthy but compared to the heir to Bubba Burgers, the heir of the Rgency Mall,Paris Hilton's little cousin, so on and so on... it's awkward to here everyone be all like" I got my 5th side kick!" Everyone is sweet but way filthy rich! Its weird to be a nobody
