those wacky japanese
I was watching discovery channel the other day, and on daily planet they had this japanese invention that can control a persons balance by remote control. what it is is a pair of headphones that sends electonic impulses the the nerves in the inner ear, and can effectively control which way a person turns when their walking, or even make them fall right over. the inventor said that it would be useful because people have too much on their minds today to have to think about which way to turn when walking through traffic, etc. does anyone else find this really ****ing scary? i don't like the idea that someone has the capability to control my balance through remote control. and really, are people that inept these days that they can't watch out for their own ass when their walking? if this product ever takes off, i'm heading for the hills.
