Come on now, you're attempting to have a new forum opened and anybody who has a differing opinion to your own in this very thread you've jumped on like a kid who's been asked to share his toys.

Posting in an aggressive manner isn't going to impress anybody.

And the suggestion I made was simple, but it would work far better than a thread like this. Make a political thread in the lounge, and see how people respond to it. Even if they aren't on everyday there is never more than two or three pages of new posts. Anyone who doesn't bother looking back two pages probably won't have anything interesting to say anyway.

that may very well be true, but we need them so we can look all smart , and perhapse some new people that are checking this site out will look at the lounge, see a politics forum and say "hmm....perhapse there are some intelligent people here....i think i'll join"...

i honestly don't see what the con's would be, i may not be very net savy, but making a new subforum to an admin is equal to me making a thread no? no trouble what so ever?

But we can`t have a politics forum , it`s not about music.

It`ll attract people who want to talk about politics rather than people wanting to talk about music.

Or at least thats what I was told when I suggested some other forums a while back.

I suggested an Off Topic forum , for things like political debates , TV , Movie & Books forum & an unmoderated forum like the lounge is now where people can basically mess around & go off topic so that it`s all done there rather than in the proper forums.

Considering the lounge is full of crappy forum games, i think intelligent dicussion is needed.
