Unexciting dream fragments from the past week:
-I was singing in a Charlie Brown themed musical, but kept going off on my own medleys that were not a part of it. After the show I came across a miniature model cathedral, like a doll house, almost-- very intricate. There were even teeny tiny candles inside-- golden-orange taper candles everywhere. I took it, and carried it around everywhere with me, intending to give it to someone as a gift. I ended up somewhere near El Paso. -I was in a five-story parking garage. Two wild baby bunnies were following me-- one black, one grey. They were amazingly docile and calm for wild bunnies. -I had taken a bus to Colombus, Ohio. I'm not sure if I went there on purpose or not. I had arrived there at night, in a downtown area, and walked around feeling rather bored. I soon left, and continued riding the bus to various other cities in the midwest, thinking about how depressing it was all the while. All the people I saw walking around outside looked half dead. At some point I stopped in some town-- I don't remember where-- and this girl, a former acquaintance of mine (who one of my exes may or may not have slept with/almost slept with secretly) was there. We were chatting and bonding, and planning some event. She always appears in my dreams now and then. |

If you can remember even the smallest snippet you're already further along than a great deal of people. Whole lots of em will go on about how they don't dream (even though that's not true, you can't just not dream) and that they don't care either way and dint pursue the dreams at all. But if you want to then you're closer to being a master dream architect than you might think

Ooh speaking of which, I meant to ask what everyone's worst nightmares have been about. I figure might as well ask here rather than making a separate thread. (Mine involved a bunch of people chanting "The eye of Saturn! The eye of Saturn!" while spinning me on a metal wheel on a tower facing a red and black storming sky, but I'll save the details for another post) |

My favorite nightmares include
- Being the last pure human on a toxin ravaged planet making shelter in an old library until the council of mutants in charge of everything locate me to euthanize me and rid the world of any trace of what once was - Running from various seen or unseen forces that generally toy with me since they can maintain a straight path through any medium and I'm usually faced with a lot of impossibly steep inclines - Lying in bed with a canine demon on top of me that I'm unsure whether or not it is actually aware of my presence, as it simply looks directly beyond my face and never pays me any mind. That might not sound scary but it's pretty much the scariest - Escaping from a multidimensional supernova (so it's like a supernova in space, but can tear through the boundaries of different dimensions so I myself must weave in and out of strange and unfamiliar worlds to outrun it). Some highlights of landscape include a sea dotted with islands made out of pure amethyst and flowing rivers of fluorescent vapors, and the inner sanctum of an omniscient hermit within a star. |

Surely. It could help you interpret Lynch movies at the very least, maybe.
Hm ok here's some of my more memorable nightmares: -I was in some area with many partly-dilapidated buildings that were spaced far apart. Overgrown grass and chain link fences in between. Above, the sky was greenish grey-- it was very quiet, much like it is before a tornado in the south. Suddenly there were little black dogs scurrying around everywhere, yapping and barking. I don't remember the next part. I remember suddenly being on the roof of a very, very high tower. I am strapped to a metal wheel, facing the sky (which is dark red and black and bubbling). I'm surrounded by a circle of people wearing black hooded cloaks. They are spinning the wheel very, very fast-- so fast it's painful-- while chanting "The eye of Saturn! The eye of Saturn!" it felt so very real, and seemed to last forever, otherwise I wouldn't consider it a nightmare necessarily. I had this one several years ago. -I've had countless alien apocalypse dreams, as well as dreams of the government staging an alien apocalypse (using holograms as well as advanced military weaponry and devices which could evoke specific emotional states-- or kill them, even-- among large groups of people) in order to implement a brutal police state and/or remove large groups of people from the planet to experiment on/sterilize/whatever. These are always nightmares because they feel so incredibly real physically. In one, there was something odd going on in west or south Texas. Large areas (empty areas, even) were suddenly off limits. If you stepped past one of the invisible boundaries-- and if you kept walking-- you'd hear an excruciating high-pitched sound and begin bleeding out of your eyes, nose and ears. (These events coincided with some solar event that was causing problems on earth) In the regular towns, though, things were the same aside from a shadowy military presence; most were dressed in civilian clothes but they'd vanish into thin air, and if you were able to sense them in their invisible state, they'd become angry and attack you. I was the only one who could see them. I continued following them and investigating and eventually found that they were gathering all of the women and children into this building and forcibly sterilizing them and experimenting on them with the intent to eventually kill them. I somehow managed to free all of them, but I was killed as a result. In another, I was walking around in some school, when suddenly these men in yellow suits began barreling down the hall. This had happened once before, so we all got on our knees facing the wall with our heads down. They grabbed some of us and took us to various places; ultimately we ended up in a small ship (floating above earth, not very far from the moon). Within the ship was what seemed to be a school or training program, at first. Me and several others. We weren't informed about anything. The instructors seemed civil and not outwardly cruel at first, but with each passing day they'd manipulate us more, and force us to participate in psychological games that always ended in being physically tortured. The others were swiftly becoming brainwashed and accepting this, but I did not. I behaved, though, and earned the privilege of being allowed outside the next time we were briefly stationed on the ground again. I escaped as soon as I could. I also sometimes have weird MK-Ultra type dreams..? Those are the worst, actually. In one, I was somewhere in Illinois. A small suburb. Lots of small, slightly rundown white houses. I felt pulled to a specific location, and I kept drifting in and out of consciousness. I found myself in a lab of sorts. I don't remember everything anymore, but there were two scientists or doctors in white lab coats standing by an indoor swimming pool. Me and some others were being forced to swim (while answering the same series of questions over and over) until we began to drown from exhaustion. At the last moment they'd resuscitate us, and then repeat the process a few more times. After that, they'd put us through some other form of torture until we were sufficiently broken. My memory became extremely fragmented. Again I found myself walking through that same neighborhood with all the little white houses. I was rattled and terrified, and I didn't know who I was or what happened. I kept seeing coins on the ground. Each time I saw one, I felt a jolt (and briefly remembered that the doctors had embedded various triggers in us to cause us to perform a certain action or go in a certain direction). I knew where to go now, and ended up inside of a small, empty, well-decorated house. When I looked in one of the bedrooms, I felt this wave of terror and nausea-- there was a yellow wall and pink wall that joined in the corner, with a unicorn painted in the center. These colors and that image was another trigger they programmed in me. Upon seeing it, I walked swiftly to a tiny room in the house right past the kitchen. I shut the door, and pressed a button that was on the wall. A gas began filling the room. I called my mom on my cell phone and told her "I'm sorry, I will be dead when you get this, I'm sorry.." and I died. I've had similar dreams that took place in Colorado and Hawaii. -This one is the strangest, I think. I was in a darkened grocery store. All of a sudden, my stalker's head popped out of one of the shelves. I ran away and he called out, "Don't worry, it's not REALLY me. I want to show you something." I walked back. "Do you remember when you died?" I asked, "By the river, against the tree?" and he said, "No, the other time. The poison gas attack." And he showed me. This is probably the most vivid dream I ever had. I was suddenly a child standing in a kitchen. A small kitchen in a small house. Open windows without glass. It was sunny, and my mother was cooking happily. Then suddenly something felt very off. There were odd noises outside, and chaos, and I started laughing hysterically-- I felt very strange, not joyful-- and then felt pain and terror, my eyes burning, and then nothing. I was hovering above my dead body and trapped in this void for a while. That's all I remember. OK, that's enough for now. |
