I lucid dream quite often, but have lately had a troubling twist on the lucid dream: I kind of DREAM that I'm lucid dreaming, if that makes any sense.

Basically, the most recent will explain this bizarre phenomenon better: I had a dream that I wanted to meet with people in a dream state who were also lucid dreaming. I went to a tent, and tried to go to sleep and attain the desired state of dreaming, but knowing that I'm dreaming, I.e. Lucid dreaming. I succeeded, and met with these people, none of whom I had ever seen in my life. We had an epic lucid dream party, because we all knew it was a dream, and we could make whatever we wanted happen.

I wanted to come down from this dream and wake up, so I made myself do so, and was in a bed in my grandmother's old trailer she hasn't had for years. I got up to fix myself coffee, and realized it was horribly haunted. There was the ghost of a woman absolutely tormenting me, and I couldn't get out. I ran to the bedroom and tried to sleep to escape the horrors, trying to induce another lucid dream.

I succeeded once again, and floated around for a bit, did fun stuff because I knew I was dreaming. When I decided again to wake up, I was in a hospital and the zombie apocalypse was happening. Went back to sleep. Lucid dreamt. Woke up. I'd fallen asleep behind the wheel and was in the hospital following a horrible car crash. Medicine knocked me out and I went BACK to sleep, lucid dreamt, and woke up FOR REAL in my bed.

It seriously took over twenty minutes not to be disoriented and think that was also a dream. It was really terrifying.

Anyone else experienced something like this?
