Last night I dreamed I was a naked waiter. I'd started a new job waiting tables, and for some reason I was naked. I was self-conscious about my small wee-wee, but no one else thought it strange that I alone was naked in the restaurant. What was weird to one customer was the severed finger in his food. "I'll go get the manager," I said and trotted my naked ass back to the kitchen.

Both my favourite nightmares involve creepy little girls. Damn horror movie tropes.
1. I'm exiting our mall towards the car park with my dad when we suddenly get pushed aside. Our anger subsides when we see that the culprits are an old couple who can barely walk. In fact they collapse after doing a few more steps. We look around and see that chaos and violence is everywhere. People are shouting at and fighting each other, cars are randomly crashing into other cars... We decide to get to our car as fast as we can and get the hell out of there. We see a lone little girl standing around and offer her to come with us since the situation is dangerous as hell. While looking for our car my dad and me get separated and I'm wandering around with that girl in some weird abandoned part of the car park. I try to cheer her up by asking her questions about herself. She has a weird accent I can't quite put my finger on. Her elusive answers make me realize that she got separated from her family quite some time, possibly months ago and I'm unable to find out what she did and where she has been all the time since then.. While we walk around there the fillings in my teeth get loose and I spit them out one by one. Finally we see my dad standing by the car some distance away. I grab the girl and get ready to run towards him. Just this instance some guy who is walking by near us freezes and stares at the girl's face in utter horror. The expression of fear on his face gets worse and worse and finally he starts to vomit. I hold her with her face pointing away from me, so I don't see it. I get totally scared as well and turn her around to see her face. While doing this I immediately realize that it's a bad idea and as her face becomes visible a black wave of terror and darkness floods everything from behind and I wake up. 2. I'm at my dad's and my uncle from the Ukraine is visiting. I help him unpack and see a weird object in his suitcase. I look closer and realize that it's a dried, shriveled, hairless platypus. My uncle tells me he got it in his travels. Later there's a big family dinner and some friends have come over as well. After everyone has eaten people gather around my uncle who shows them the platypus. He puts some water on it and it comes alive. A friend of my dad takes it into his hands and it stings him with its venomous spike. The guy starts screaming in a totally pained and anguished way. My dad takes the platypus from his hands, also gets stung and starts screaming as well. Everybody is panicking now, shouting, running around. Exept for my little sister who just sits there with a weird smile on her face. Then I suddenly realize I don't have a sister and wake up.

Could you hear them from your place?

Dreamed I was some place else. And somebody else. I was a man lying in a small boat floating down a river-- just one of many boats. It was night. I couldn't see anything beyond the river-- just thick, dark greenery. It was humid; it could have been Louisiana, it felt similar, but I didn't know what country we were in as I had no clue who I was or where I was. My ankles and wrists were chained, (and all the other boats held one or two chained men in them as well) and there was another man rowing near my feet. He was going to help us escape when the moment was right. He had a French-sounding surname, but everyone called him Bucky or something like that. He unchained me, and we both dived quietly into the water. We were being chased both by the men leading the boats and also by these enormous fish creatures that kept pushing and head-butting us.

I had a dream about cats like two nights ago. The apartment I was in was full of different cats and different ages and I was becoming so frustrated because I couldn't control them like my cats at home. They were being rowdy. Constantly scratching and biting my ankle, legs and feet. The amount of blood that was pouring down my legs was pissing me off so much. I'm not even sure why I stayed in that stupid apartment but I still tried to help out the person that was there clean up their litter boxes. I handed a litter box to the woman that lives there and she ended up just dropping the litter all over the floor along with the box. It seemed like she was a bit too weak to hold it and I didn't know. I was so frustrated by the whole scenario that I just pulled myself out of the dream. I woke up and went to pet one of my loyal obedient cats.

Dreamed I had joined in a collective dream with a few dozen others. I was the one to organize it, I think, because I kept telling people about it, and explaining that it was the only way I could sleep tonight. I don't remember much of it at all because I woke so much. I remember at one point being pregnant or inhabiting the body of one of the pregnant dreamers who wasn't physically there but was connected to our dream, somehow. (Something was magically being done to the fetus) I was reclined against a large, tall man behind me while another massaged my legs in front of me. Many others-- other dreamers, that is, according to dream-me-- were there during this scene and there was also some casual (but fairly important) drug deal going on, too, so most of us were just waiting for that to be over with.
I can't remember anything else because I kept waking up (both within the dream and in real life) which muddled my memories. Oh! I do remember standing in front of a small mirror and seeing that the skin on my face had grown thick and grey and bumpy, with deep wrinkles here and there-- this was greatly distressing to me of course. Mainly because, moments before, I had waved goodbye to someone without realizing that they saw me in that hideous state. I think it happened because of something I had put on my face, but I don't know. It's never a good idea to look at mirrors in dreams. |

Now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever looked at a mirror in my dreams. Maybe I have but don't remember it. I feel like I'm going to try to force this to happen in my next dream to see what the outcome is.
Being horrified by images in a mirror seems like it might be linked subconsciously to body self esteem issues.
