Could you hear them from your place?

When something like that happens, I wonder if I saw a poster or a schedule or heard a snippet of conversation somewhere and my mind logged it, even if I didn't notice.

Dreamed I was some place else. And somebody else. I was a man lying in a small boat floating down a river-- just one of many boats. It was night. I couldn't see anything beyond the river-- just thick, dark greenery. It was humid; it could have been Louisiana, it felt similar, but I didn't know what country we were in as I had no clue who I was or where I was. My ankles and wrists were chained, (and all the other boats held one or two chained men in them as well) and there was another man rowing near my feet. He was going to help us escape when the moment was right. He had a French-sounding surname, but everyone called him Bucky or something like that. He unchained me, and we both dived quietly into the water. We were being chased both by the men leading the boats and also by these enormous fish creatures that kept pushing and head-butting us.

I had a dream about cats like two nights ago. The apartment I was in was full of different cats and different ages and I was becoming so frustrated because I couldn't control them like my cats at home. They were being rowdy. Constantly scratching and biting my ankle, legs and feet. The amount of blood that was pouring down my legs was pissing me off so much. I'm not even sure why I stayed in that stupid apartment but I still tried to help out the person that was there clean up their litter boxes. I handed a litter box to the woman that lives there and she ended up just dropping the litter all over the floor along with the box. It seemed like she was a bit too weak to hold it and I didn't know. I was so frustrated by the whole scenario that I just pulled myself out of the dream. I woke up and went to pet one of my loyal obedient cats.

Dreamed I had joined in a collective dream with a few dozen others. I was the one to organize it, I think, because I kept telling people about it, and explaining that it was the only way I could sleep tonight. I don't remember much of it at all because I woke so much. I remember at one point being pregnant or inhabiting the body of one of the pregnant dreamers who wasn't physically there but was connected to our dream, somehow. (Something was magically being done to the fetus) I was reclined against a large, tall man behind me while another massaged my legs in front of me. Many others-- other dreamers, that is, according to dream-me-- were there during this scene and there was also some casual (but fairly important) drug deal going on, too, so most of us were just waiting for that to be over with.
I can't remember anything else because I kept waking up (both within the dream and in real life) which muddled my memories. Oh! I do remember standing in front of a small mirror and seeing that the skin on my face had grown thick and grey and bumpy, with deep wrinkles here and there-- this was greatly distressing to me of course. Mainly because, moments before, I had waved goodbye to someone without realizing that they saw me in that hideous state. I think it happened because of something I had put on my face, but I don't know. It's never a good idea to look at mirrors in dreams. |

Now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever looked at a mirror in my dreams. Maybe I have but don't remember it. I feel like I'm going to try to force this to happen in my next dream to see what the outcome is.
Being horrified by images in a mirror seems like it might be linked subconsciously to body self esteem issues.

Yeah I guess that happens but I just don't recall anything about my body being off in dreams. Everything is usually the same as irl when it comes to the way my body looks. Hmm I'm super curious about this now and will try to make a greater effort to look at my body more in dreams if I can control it.

It was oddly satisfying, yes. I absolutely cannot bear to watch those youtube videos though. Oh god have you heard of that skin condition where you get enormous clusters of huge blackheads all over your skin?? I can't remember the name of it, but I'm sure there's youtube videos about it.
