I just had a thought. If someone no this forum died, no one would know what happened to them. Cause when someone posts regularly for several months, they usually don't just leave. Perhaps SATCHMO or tommyrocker passed away or something...

I'm glad to know you care for your other MBer's. There would be so many dead people if when ever someone stopped posting they died.

actually, as morbid as that sounds, i too had that thought....noone would ever know something like that happened.....although , tommyrocker is alive and kicking, i'm sure stu would have informed us otherwise, and i don't think satchmo has passed away either, he disappeared right when the site was down for a week or so, i think the man just took it as an opportunity to get away from this site as far as possible...i was actually thinking of sending him an e-mail, just to ask what he's doing and why he left, but sadly, the bastard disabled the e-mail thingy...

i actually have thought of that before. its a little unsettling to imagine that members such as the ones you listed are suddenly gone without any warning...it kinda makes you think about what happened. that would seriously suck if they really were dead, although i doubt they are.

When a member leaves never to return, in a way they have died.
Especially if you have formed a minds eye view of an individuals personality.

I came to like posters such as Satchmo, Urban and Dezzy and was pleased when I saw a post from Jr. just the other day, as he had'nt posted in a while.

Some of the MB members on this forum have interesting personalities and it shines through in their posts.

No right-track thats how I look at it too. Like if you left, I'd be pretty guttered as you were a bit of a comedian and an all round good chap.

And it's probably how I'd remember you too.

And like Urban, I knew about his love stuff but other than that I always thought he had a decent sense of humour. Like that time in the Rate A Band thread. Some gave Nickelback a 1, and Urban said, I'll give them a 2 if they stop playing. That was good.

It is kinda sad when the locals start dropping.

yeah if i died no one would know, even though i talk to people on msn, they would have no way of knowing either, since they'd just assume i'd stopped coming online. unless i died skiing, then my fellow canadian posters would probably hear about it on the news....except none of them know my real name....so if i stop coming back (a second time) just assume i died.

hmm..

the only person on this site who would know if i was dead would be misfits, because he's the only one that i talk to relatively regularly on aim. other than that....i dont think anyone would notice if i were to for some reason stop posting. although sometimes im in areas where i cant get an internet connection and i wont post for two or three days, thats always depressing.

yeah you and covle, and he's in australia. course, if i die in new zealand this summer he might hear about it, and maybe the new zealand members would hear about a canadian chick snuffing it on the ski hill and put two and two together. wow this turned quite morbid. must be the drugs.

nah, dont worry about your mountains, pleny of people have died over here and people still ski. and when i die, i'm sooo getting a headstone made out of skis.

meh millions of people die every day, someone right now is getting murdered. people die all the time. no point mulling over every single one, even if you kinda know them from a forum.
