Imaginary friends!

Hmm has anyone else had imaginary friends at any point in their lives? :D I had this coool lion when i was four or therebouts, he looked like a daisy (from an angle) and he had a watch and would always get the time wrong, therefore getting me in trouble. bleurgh i also had a pet kiwi that my dad ate. Bastard.

Don't think that I ever had an imaginary friend while growing up, although I have one friend at the moment (Alex) who I sometimes think may well be imaginary as I seem to be the only person I know who's ever met him and hung out with him etc. (literally, I'll mention him in conversation and clearly nobody else will have any idea who I'm talking about).

@DontRunMeOver
Oh gawd I know exactly what you mean. I had this smack-and-coke-withdrawal-induced hillucination that I became very close to, I still talk about her, everyone thinks i'm ****ing around and it's hilarious. Fools.
Is Alex some sort of cuddley animal or does he have magical time travel powers by any chance? :p:

RawnessObsolete 11-28-2005 05:12 AM

Oh dear, why does it blank out swearwords? *cries* :(

No such luck, he's just slightly alcoholic and mildly overweight. He claims to know Bill Nighy, Neil Hannon and Neil Tennant and to have written for The Times, which further fuels my feelings that he might be imaginary.

RawnessObsolete 11-28-2005 07:47 AM

Don't let him being imaginary get in your way *pats head* I'd hold onto him if i were you. does he eat or fall through trampolines at all?

DontRunMeOver 11-28-2005 07:52 AM

He eats (?!) and falls through bushes quite regularly, not sure about trampolines.

RawnessObsolete 11-28-2005 07:55 AM

Oh he's definately imaginary then :)

from the time i was four, to the time i was 7 i had 50 of them
25 of them were the allamos, the other 25 were the germans,....
the germans had no legs, so the allamos had to carry them everywhere we went,....
they marched behind me like little army men and did whatever i wanted them to do,.....

you should have seen them when i was 5,....thats when desert storm was goin on and we would stay up all night to watch the war on cnn,........we all loved stormin norman

When I was little I had two imaginary friends and they were the size of mice. Pretty much they were like the Littles (the book). My mom sword for about two years that the Littles were real and they lived in the house. She had to fix them a plate of food to eat every night and I had to buckle them into the car when we went places too. They would talk to every night when I went to bed. They're grandmother died at the same time as mine. We stayed up and cried about it one night.... Ya I had a vivid imgination as a child....

sounds to me like they served their purpose well

Kevorkian Logic 01-27-2008 07:07 AM

uh, I know people now who still see imaginary friends and are convinced they are real people. It's an interesting condition to be in
