i feel the need to respond to this one in particular:

Quote:

The potential role of cannabis in driving accidents has been further supported by analytical data showing the presence of THC in the blood and saliva of injured or impaired drivers with a higher frequency than probably occurs in the general public or in non-injured, non-impaired drivers. The data on culpability of drivers under the influence of cannabis are not conclusive, but are strongly suggestive because of the relationship to cannabis dosage.
ive seen several (not going to say ALOT but several) cases where they (they meaning whoever heads the anti marijuana crusade nowdays) have placed the blame of particular accidents on marijuana, without specifying though whether or not the user was in fact under the influence at the time of the accident. they simply state that THC was in their system. a day ago? a week ago? a MONTH ago? Im not condoning getting stoned out of your mind and then hitting the freeway, but i dont think the danger is as sever as they claim. Im sure there are more accidents caused by drunks and people who are sober than people who are high. but the second THC shows up in their system it gets the blame.

i took the just of it cuz i was to lazy to want to explain all the medical mumbo jumbo associated with it.

"many schizophrenics say weed helps them feel better, all this begins to make sense in light of recent findings about the internal cannabinoids.

Schizophrenia is accompanied by, and perhaps caused by, an extreme overproduction of dopamine in parts of the brain. Since the endocannabinoids help regulate the dopamine supply, researchers expected that they would be found in larger amounts, but not enough to control the tremendous excess of dopamine—and sure enough, when they tested the spinal fluid of schizophrenics, they found twice the normal amounts of anandamide. This suggests that pot-smoking schizophrenics try to make up the difference with THC, but it doesn’t work well enough because it’s not specific to the abnormal dopamine-producing regions.

basically, by them smoking it does help with their "schizophrenic episodes" by slowing down the production of the extra chemicals thats causing it.

If you dont care about your body since you know you will die anyways then go ahead, use drugs just for the pleasure and the *experience*. Hell, why not go rape a girl or rob a bank just for the *experience*?

The statement that i have posted earlier isnt exagerrated in any way and has a big possibility of happening in real life.

Because when I, or a friend, am sitting down giggling at something entirely nonsensical for a good half an hour, inbetween eating chocolate and reading dirty granny books, before laughing some more (true story. If you have a Granny, read some of her more lewd books while stoned. They take on a wholly different meaning during the descriptions of passionate love making), I am not hurting anyone or damaging anybodies property other than my own. If I rape someone and rob their bank, I damage them and society. Difference? Course not. Cannabis is rape.
