Well the real websites are bad then. Unfortunately, this is one of those times when the lack of control over the internet is a problem as they can't stop those kinds of websites (which offer nothing that is good for anybody) from existing.

Yeah it's pretty disappointing, I read the comments to some of the entries, and there was some Ex-Ana's who were really upset over it, even though it was a joke, it hit a nerve.
I really don't know what to think about it. I know that I would find it offending if I had been through Anorexia. What do you guys reckon?

Same here, I don't know what to think either. Anorexia is a terrible condition. At the same time, the media (the part that's aimed at teenagers at least) tends to give this impression of "its bad to BE anorexic, but its good to LOOK anorexic". They get very excited if anybody famous loses a lot of weight in a short space of time and start congratuling them, unless it comes along with loud rumours of an 'eating disorder' which suddenly makes it all different and then they hate it.
I saw in a magazine a calculation of the BMIs (body mass indices) of young female, british celebrities. They were almost all in the 15-17 range, which shows just how underweight the celebrity sub-culture is! |

Ugh that is disgusting. I think the whole industry is pathetic. Celebrities are so insecure, and what results from them acting on it is encouraging people do the same. 18 is the absolute minimum BMI you should have, and to hear people have a BMI of 15 is unbelievable.
