Most Disliked Food(s)
Since we have a thread for favorite food, I thought this one was appropriate to balance things out, as it were. My list:
crab cucumbers okra grits--taste like cardboard, edible only if smothered in butter and/or jelly eggplant peppers--tolerable only if lightly applied to a pizza, along with plenty of other toppings |

Guacamole - Doesn't do anything for me.
Olives - Same as above. Lobster - Not awful but I don't understand the appeal. Used to be considered a cheap "trash" food for the poor before it became trendy & expensive. White Bread - It'll do if there's no other option, but mostly boring and bland to me. Saltine Crackers - Same as above. White Rice - Inedible as a stand-alone dish, without adding anything to it. Mushrooms - Can't stand the taste of them and another one where I don't understand the appeal. |

peppers don't deserve this slander.
the only pick here I can understand is white bread; good, flavourful white bread exists but from what I know you're a brit living in the US so you haven't tasted it

I never imagined my comments about peppers (I DID say I can handle them if lightly applied to a pizza) would set the Pepper Defense League into action. Well, I guess it's good in a weird sort of way that I know what motivates people. Hmm, is there a musical act that's universally loved that I can attack on one of the music-related threads? I want to expand my (unintended) initiative! |

Yes. The typical white bread available on supermarket shelves where I live, leaves a lot to be desired in terms of taste. There is a bakery a few miles from me which probably has better quality white bread than I could get at one of my local supermarkets but it's out of my way and if I did go there, I'd most likely be looking for something else.

My list:
fried onion fried carrot broccoli soup some fatty street food I’ve been following a 15-day diet meal plan https://betterme.world/articles/15-day-diet-meal-plan/ lately, and it’s really helped me enjoy healthier, lighter options without feeling deprived. I should say, it’s a great way to reset your eating habits. Last edited by mabres; 01-30-2025 at 05:49 AM. |
