schnell live at sowieso self-described as accelerated bebop you can easily hear the bebop themes broken into brief fragments and looped frantically with extreme free jazz aggression the musicianship on this is jaw dropping but more importantly it’s perfectly musically effective bombastic exciting traditional and unique 5/5 someone is getting bumped out of my top ten AOTY cause this will not be denied

Hey Occult, last year I saw this band at a local record shop called TMT Trio. I went with my family cause the drummer's my mum's neighbor in Ohio. I started out interested but got thoroughly bored towards the second half of the performance. Maybe this is something you'd be into, though? Here's the show I was at:

Lives by Michael Foster / Ben Bennett Michael Foster ear f ucks the listener here. It sounds like he’s playing the sax - think of the force of the post Coltrane heavies while also eating Doritos and sucking dick at the same time. I assume you’re already listening.

How Many Bubbles Are In A Bar Of Soap? by New Atlantis Duo Impressive resumes on these two. Late Coltrane inspired free jazz played very well.
