Need Help! Looking for 'Sleazy Detective Jazz'
I managed to find an old post on here of a guy looking for EXACTLY the same music as me, by description. The only problem is, it's an old post (2011 I think) and ome of the replies weren't my thing so I will try to be more descriptive.
Essentially, I'm desperately looking for a noir jazz, but something a tad darker than the things on youtube. Something you'd hear in a gritty detective film, with smoke-filled bars, and the ambient buzz of the neon 'BAR' sign outside. I've some examples here of the kind of thing I'm looking for. The best way I would describe it is slow, crimejazz. Nothing you'd hear in a romantic noir film, something a tad more serious. Here are some perfect examples. Edit: I can't post links due to me being a new member with few posts so here are the titles for youtube videos. 'L.A. Noire Main theme RainyMood' 'David Gilmour - Red Sky At Night ' Any replies are greatly appreciated. Even if you don't think a song is what I'm looking for, post it anyway, there are no 'WRONG' replies. Here is the aforementioned post: Edit: Again, can't post links. Just search 'Sleazy detective music' |

If you don't have Spotify, I can't help you. I found this playlist a while ago and it seems to really fit your request. |

Thanks for the replies guy. I don't have Spotify unfortunately but I will in about 3 minutes haha.
And 'LoathsomePete' I think you were in the older thread too. I got some songs from Bohren & der Club of Gore from said thread but do you have any more song in particular like the one you just posted. I found some had really heavy bass and sounded modern instead of...old-school jazz. That song right there though, that is near-perfect. Thanks! |
