Might as well throw in Eric Dolphy's Out to Lunch! out there since it's one of the best jazz albums of all time. How could you possibly hate it? Even fuddy duddies like Trollheart love it.
After listening to a bit… I LOVE this album. I might get it for myself if not him.

It's one of my favourites of all time. Had to have it on vinyl the second I saw it at the record store.

Bill Frisell definitely has his moments quite often. Some of his stuff doesn't scratch my scrotum quite the right way though.

Jimmy Smith- Back to the Chicken Shack

is a good choice for what he's describing.

So, does anyone know how I could get into doing jazz? I have a deep voice so I was maybe thinking a singer? I live in Florida if anyone wants to help me.

I haven't gotten to him yet, but if I ever get back to http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...r-players.html, I'll have to revisit a lot of his stuff. It's been years since I've immersed myself into his eclecticism.
