Question Suggestions: 40s Swing Collection Album

Hi there,

I've been looking for an album with a collection of upbeat 40s big band swing (i.e. boogie woogie bugle boy + sing, sing, sing etc)
I can't seem to find any albums with a decent collection of this stuff (preferably mp3 but cd is cool) and thought somebody of these forums might know of any!!!

Big thanks,
FR007

I'm pretty sure I saw some infomercial at 4 in the morning by Time Life advertising such a collection
Perhaps try their site?

I'll second Psy-Fi's recommendations.

Purely for complete-ist's sake if you just need this stuff en masse, there is a 500-CD box set called The World's Greatest Jazz Collection and two of the five 100-disc volumes would be appropriate -

Worlds Greatest Jazz Collection: Swing Time (All-Star Swing Groups with their most famous records)

Worlds Greatest Jazz Collection: Big Bands - The Giants of the Swing Big Band Era

Wow, thanks for the fast and detailed replies!
I had a look at Time Life, but didn't have much luck I'm afraid!
I don't really have the need for buying a lot of these songs, but I'm sure if I were a complete-ist that would have been perfect.
I managed to pick up
amazon.co.uk/Only-Album-Youll-Unforgettable-Tracks/dp/B00PJBRYZY/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1424976279&sr=8-11&keywords=only+big+band+album
this album from iTunes for a fiver. Came across it due to the similar name to The Only Big Band CD You'll Ever Need, which I also plan to pick up, however cannot purchase it through iTunes, and Amazon is being difficult with their one click service, but once that gets sorted will grab that too!

Thankyou so much for all your help, you've made me very happy!!!
All the best,
FR007
