Default Jazz and Turkish Music

Hey,
are any of you into Dave Brubeck?
I find that his Rondo a la Turk is interesting for adding a modified Turkish 9/8 pattern into a jazz song.

I found the original Turkish pattern(dokuz sekiz), played specifically in Karşılama and Roman Havası styles.

(I can't add URLs as I'm a new user...)
