Wasn't sure where to put this guy. Huge fan.

I saw Sonny for the first time at Antone's in Austin, TX in 2004. He was nothing short of mind-blowing! Been a big fan ever since. Also saw him at a favorite small venue in April of last year and again in June of last year with Peter Frampton. He tours constantly, so I expect I'll be seeing him again sometime next year when he comes around.
A couple of pics I took at both shows... Sonny Landreth at The Bull Run, Shirley, MA. 4/4/2013 Sonny Landreth at Indian Ranch, Webster, MA. 6/30/2013 |

^^^^ Nice pics!
The guy was born to have a guitar pasted to his chest.

And like all the great players, he makes it all look so natural and effortless. |

I´ve heard this guy´s name before, but not sure where or why. Loved the guitar work in the opening post, not quite so keen on the vocals, though. Do you have any SL instrumental recommendations by any chance ?
PS: Yes, crystal-clear photos, Psy-Fi, but which one is Sonny Landreth - the guy with grey hair, or the guy with greyer hair?

The guy with the 6 string.
His newest release is all instrumental.

Haha! You´re right. The other guitar has four strings = bass guitar. ( Now I´ve taught you all I know about music. )

He reminds me more of Eric Johnson. But he's been around longer than both of those guys. Eric Clapton is a huge fan of Landreth.

Like Eric Johnson ? Well, that´s good too; he´s got that famously mellow tone. I wonder if SL was ever part of the rotating G3 line-up that Johnson and Satriani were in.
