hank ballard & the midnighters, lets go let's go, gotta kinda gospel feel, hank ballard was the original twist man, chubby checker's cover was the smash hit though, some royaltes for hank ballard probably why he didn't kick & fuss to much...

I think at least with Electric Blues I have to always plump for this track as a perfect entry to the genre:
as for something a little more raucous then this is bloody great:

Papa George Lightfoot - Wine, Women & Whiskey(or Wine, Whiskey & Women) Might be a little rough for some, but I love this guy. He does a killer version of When The Saints Go Marchin' In too
