One of my favorites that I do not think has been mentioned yet is

Bobby Bland - Two steps from the Blues

"I'm so forgiving, I'm so forgiving and I can't go on living two steps from the blues"

Beautiful song, sang by a very soulful singer! You can listen to this song on youtube.
I like the title "Two steps from the blues" Def going to check it out. I get so fixed on just listening to my favorites a lot of the time that I dont try enough to open my mind to others. Not that I dont like others just stay in that safe zone of what I already know I like ya know.

...I really like this version by Frank Marino...

...all Your loneliness...I'll try to soothe
I'll play the Blues for You...

B.B King - The Thrill Is Gone
Freddie King - Going Down
John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers With Eric Clapton - Ramblin' On My Mind

Are probably my top 3 classics, but latterly I have enjoyed stuff by Mayer and Joanne Shaw Taylor.

Well Tab hasnt left his mark on the Blues to the extent of the company that surrounds him in my post. However the more I listen to his music the more im digging it. From down in the arm pit of the world (being south Louisiana). He seems to be full of that soulful nack that it takes to play the Blues. From his songwriting skills to supererb style of playing. Its encouraging to know there are still modern day Blues artists out there keeping the genre alive. As for the other two artists posted their reputations are explanation enough of their accomplishments. I hope you find these particular songs to your liking as well...Enjoy Blues lovers

RIP Gary Moore...your music lives on...

I'll Play the Blues For You...

"It is with deep sorrow and regret, that we have to announce that Gary Moore passed away while on holiday in Spain last night.

Our thoughts are with his children, family and friends at this sad time.
Gary Moore, RIP

In the Midnight Hour

and see that twinkle in Your Eyes...
...I'm gonna wait 'til the midnight hour
'til there is no one...but You and I...
