I don't know about "ever", but I've always thought James Chance's brand of punk-funk, free jazz, and no wave was pretty cool.

All of these videos are amazing! It really shows what jazz really is. Sometimes the best stuff isn't caputered or recorded ina studio or recorded live by a proffesional. It just happens.
