Ray Charles
Damn I did a search on this guy and I can't believe there's no topic for him. How many people like this guy?
He overcame so many obstacles thrown his way (blind obviously, drug addiction) and wrote so many outstanding pieces. His last album Genius Loves Company was outstanding, in my opinion featuring some of the best duets ever. Anyone else love this guy?

A song that never gets much credit is "wish you were here", I love that song.

I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

What movie? Is there a movie?
I love his music. Don't know much about the guy himself, but you can tell he's made his way through a lot with those lyrics.
