I also think he has at least one dream a night that he is Dave Matthews... and maybe that's the problem
That was meant to be funny, everyone... no offense. My view of music is that if you like it, then it's good music in your world, and that's fine. |

I have never considered John Mayer being blue-related whatsoever. Hardly even rock. I'd put him more in the pop category, or the adult alternative/soft rock chart label, whatever. Current mainstream artists I would be inclined to think of as blues-influenced rock would be more along the lines of The Black Keys or The White Stripes.
John Mayer's music kind of sucks though, to be honest. If I wanted to hear this sort of thing, I would rather listen to Dave Matthews Band, who have at least a few good tunes here and there. |

^ Thanks. Not gonna lie, I liked some of his 90s/early'00s singles. Where Are You Going, Crush, Space Between, etc. I remember he had a concert in my city once and one radio station played only his music the entire day. If somebody asked me what I thought of them I'd say they were a good band. I've still got some of his albums on cds. On the other hand, I feel like John Mayer is more of a popstar icon for teenagers who find his music as an alternative to other top 40 singles dominated by hip-hop and rap. To each their own, though. Either is preferable to other popular crap on the radio nowadays such as Nicki Minaj, at least in my book. xD

I love everything dave matthews. I seriously can never find anything wrong with anything he or his glorious band does. And Boyd Tinsley = love. Did you ever go to a live show, Kelli? I've been to four and I would go again in a heartbeat!
What did you think of "Away From the World"? |

We're a bit off topic but I totally agree with that. Big Whiskey had some catchier tracks for sure. Is there a DMB thread somewhere?? Maybe I should start one so I can go on about this more. And moooore.
