I think it's Gerald Albright, a smooth jazz sax player who claims he's accessible to his audience. I think he's the one who gives sax lessons via Internet too, or at least that's what Music Choice says.

Try happy Smooth Jazz. For example, Vito's Vittles by the band Comfort Zone. Also some Latin Jazz is very good and not evil at all.

Your description of bebop is so truncated and general that it is pretty much useless. It's more applicable to rock than to bop jazz.

Bop isn't about being egoistic, it's about losing ego by playing what is in your heart at that moment. It is existential music, so of-the-moment that it melts away as it being played--like snowflakes landing on your hand.

There's no reason a listener can't get pleasure from as much as a musician just as with any other style of music.

Basically, if you can only listen to appreciate because you can't enjoy--stop listening.

The problem with Jazz is the word Jazz. It's crap.

I have a shirt with "Jazz we Can" on it, and it's epic.

Wrong bodily excretion, I'm afraid.

Agreed.^

What do you think of Steely Dan Lord Larehip? And their classification and style of Jazz Fusion.

Of course, they crossover and add different elements of style and genres in their music, especially according what particular album by them is being analyzed and discussed.
