I was thinking of Tedeschi Trucks Band. Derek's playing, Susan's voice, that crazy dude on sax, the rest of the band... they gel wonderfully in my opinion.
|
For me it would probably be Stevie Ray Vaughan.
|
Bob Brozman is still the best acoustic blues guitarist I've ever seen in concert.
|
 Wow.. too many to list for me at least.
In no particular order: Michael Burks (RIP) Eric Clapton SRV (RIP) Joe Bonamassa Jeff Beck Duane Allman (RIP) |
I'd always like to come up with something different and call someone very little known player the best, but to be honest, I have to be generic, again.
Stevie Ray Vaughan is great, but I think the best one is Clapton. But they both are white people and my knowledge about blues is pretty little, so I guess there could have been better player somewhere but they are not as well known as those two. |
Soooooo many great blues guitarists !!
But if i have to choose one .. I think Buddy Guy ! Excelsior. P.S : Hello everybody i'm new here :band: |
Let me help you with that question, the Best Blues Guitarist was Albert King.
|
Dont want to upset anyo e by bringing a deadthread back but Michael Bloomfield anyone?
|
Gary Lucas is the king.

Have you heard the album Rishte that he made with Najma Akhtar ? I found it pretty disappointing because Gary`s contribution is largely lost beneath Najma`s vocals. It feels like he relegated himself to acoustic rhythm guitarist. At least in this clip with Najma Akhtar, he`s plugged in and doing something noticable, so imo it`s an improvement on Rishte:- |
