A few years back, intrigued by the name, I bought myself a sampler of Acid Jazz, imagining that it would either be psychedelic jazz, or jazz with a hard, industrial bite. TBH, I was pretty disappointed to end up with a cd of music like this; very nicely executed, but rather too tame for me : |

I actually saw the James Taylor Quartet in concert about 15 years ago and I have to say they were pretty fantastic. Never felt like the bulk of their recorded output lived up to the live experience though unfortunately.
