Default Amos Lee

He's been picked up by Nora, and he's said to be the next on the Jazz bandwagon. I downloaded "Bottom of the Barrel" and I like it, but the rest of the songs seem really empty. Thought on this one?

^ That`s a beautifully put together song. Great voice, good lyrics - good post. I enjoyed it from the acoustic guitar at the start to the piano coming in near the end.
I`ve never heard of this guy, but I just saw at allmusic.com that he has four albums under his belt already, so any pointers to his best work would be welcome.

^ OK, thanks. I didn`t notice the six year jump between posts. So I`m guessing that in the end the Jazz bandwagon passed Amos by !

Yeah, I mean a lot of his early bio was Jazz related, but in hindsight it looks as if it was marketers hoping on the Jazz hype that came with Jones.

Now he tends to be closer to Iron & Wine and Devnda Bandhardt to me.

Yeah I think thats right. He strikes me as a guy thats going to be more solid than explosive. People will come to him at their own pace, I don't think it will be thrust in their face.

In some respects he seems to occupy the same place as bands/artists like Supertramp, Warren Zevon,or Paul Westerberg.
