Default Ideal jazz band?

If you could compile an ideal jazz band, what would it be? Mine would be:

Piano: Oscar Peterson
Guitar: Mark Whitfield
Bass: Jimmy Haslip
Trumpet: Dizzy Galespi
Drums: Max Roach
Sax: Joshua Redman
Vibes/Synths: Gary Burton
Flute: Dave Valentin
Vocals: Ella Fitzgerald

Okay, some ground rules
- A MAXIMUM of 10 people in the band (No person A/person B/Person C nonsense)
- A max of 2 players per section

I have a feeling you meant Dizzy Gillespie.

I'll give this a shot just for fun.

Drums: Tony Williams
Percussion: Airto Moreira
Bass: Jaco Pastorius
Sax: Wayne Shorter
Keyboards: Herbie Han****, Chick Corea
Trumpet: Miles Davis
Bass Clarinet: Bennie Maupin
Flute: Eric Dolphy
Trombone: Julian Priester

Would maybe play experimental jazz-fusion type stuff along the lines of Bitches Brew or Han****'s Mwandishi band recordings. It would just be sweet to see these guys jamming, regardless of what they played.

All righty; I'll give this a shot.

Saxophone: Albert Ayler
Trumpet: Donald Byrd
Flute: Eric Dolphy
Piano: Cecil Taylor
Organ: John Medeski
Guitar: Grant Green
Bass Guitar: Jaco Pastorius
Drums: Sabu Martinez
Percussion: Solomon Ilori

Pretty sure that this would be really, really wonderful free jazz, with the best rhythm section you'd ever hear anywhere.
