Jazz Light
I love listening to jazzy pop, or poppy jazz, or whatever it's called. Now we all know Jamie Cullum and Micheal Buble, so recommend some lesser-known artists.

You might like Paris Combo, who play cheerful, polished retro jazz. Instead of the hard, brassy sound that I enjoyed on your Lady Linn clip, these guys go for a kind of seductive swing style that might`ve come from a 1920`s cabaret act. Fronted by sweet-voiced French singer Belle du Berry, they " reawaken the smouldering influences of Gypsy music, Spanish and Italian melodies, cool American jazz and a smoky hint of Django Reinhardt " - or at least that`s what it says in the liner notes of their first
(1998) album. |
