Yeah, they're fun but they're also hated by the powers that be. btw you sould start one on your own.

Read a good book about SRV (can't recall the title right now), he really came up the hard way, and he used VERY heavy strings on his guitar. When he was doing 3 shows a night, early in his career, sometimes he would play the skin right off his fingers. He would take super glue and put a drop on his arm, and place his cut finger on it, and rip the skin onto his finger, so he could continue to play(!).

If you're criticizing them respectively, I don't think you can call SRV just another "generic blues rocker."

i was going respective to the poll. SRV wanted to be hendrix minus the funk IMO.
