Default Rory Gallagher

He is more blues/rock than blues, but I figured this would be the best place to put it...

Has anyone heard Rory's stuff? He is one of my favorite guitar players of all time and most people I talk to have never heard of him.

Thats a great album, the first one I bought was Irish Tour. Also a great album.

If your looking for a starting point for studio work. I HIGHLY recommend Tattoo, it's flawless!

Have been listening to him for years, he is in my "top ten" guitar players. Against The Grain
and Tatoo are my favorite albums from him. Lots of great guitar playin' on these albums!
He was a real nice fellow too. Good dvd's to get are "Irish Tour '74" and "Live At Montreau"
Died too young, but left lots of great music for us to enjoy! Rock on...

"Jinx", "BBC Sessions", "Irish Tour", "Live in Europe", "Rory Gallagher", and the live Taste album "On The Boards" should help you out a bit. Some of these albums may be out of print, but I found "Jinx" on Ebay about 6 months ago. I don't think Rory ever really put out a bad album, so they're all worth searching for.

"On The Boards" is not a live album, a great album though. Highly recommended!
