I can understand that. The album I listed is on the one hand good but on the other hand kind of just clutter.
Now listening: Sonny Rollins: Holding The Stage: Road Shows, Vol. 4 Good but suffers from an overly smooth production/recording style.

![]() ![]() Mtume Rebirth Cycle Pretty much essential spiritual jazz listening. Putting this on directly after Alice Coltrane's Universal Consciousness might make one ascend to the plateau of enlightenment. For real. It does have a few funky tracks though. |

I buy expensive records. I'll wait on this one though. It'll probably roll through the shop one day. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Milford Graves Babi Legendary live performance with Arthur Doyle and Hugh Glover. Chaos. Scatting vocals. Counting aloud. Screeching. Pounding. Wailing. Lunacy. Rare ass record too. Graves is wild. |

^ "Fantastically entertaining" - right you are! I love this record and Keith Tippett's work in general. Title is a nod to Soft Machine's "Dedicated To You..." (which was a nod to Coltrane's "Dedicated To You"). The legendary Robert Wyatt on drums here, along with Brian Springs and Phil Howard (who later replaced Wyatt in Soft Machine).
