Yesterday I listened to "Fathers and Sons" by Muddy Waters. Enjoyed it quite a bit.

Oscar Peterson's album The Complete Cole Porter Songbooks where he plays songs by Cole Porter is a delicious listen. As a "cover/tribute album", I didn't expect it to e as good as it turned out!
Great piano player ![]()

Been checking out one of John Zorn's 2011 releases, At the Gates of Paradise
Really nice and mellow for a Zorn work. Also digging into the 2 hour 10 minute (2 disc) Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, and Lenny White: Forever Good bunch of Return to Forever live stuff... Quote:
Space Circus and After the Cosmic Rain are my favorites but there are plenty of good'uns. I miss Al di Meola, what HAPPENED? He's obviously still alive and kicking, he's apparently got an album out this year. And worked with these fellas in '09. Where's Al? Edit: Found my answer on the above article's comments: Quote:
