I believe you should check out Avishai Cohen Trio (especially the album called "Continuo") - it's INCREDIBLE!
Also Vijay Iyer's album Accelereando is really really good.
They're both kind of modern Jazz albums, not the classical swing/bebop kind of jazz, but they are soooo good. Just beautiful music!
