I mean just listen to that and it should inspire you to go more in depth on your assignment.
I love Bitches Brew dude. Guess I forgot about that detail and I am fairly interested in researching it, but alas, I gotta do it all before I shut down at 1230 so thanks a ton.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Well, him and Herbie Hancock were contemporaries and influenced each other quite a bit I think. You can hear his influence in a Jamie Saft's work.

Still wish my group got assigned Ornette Coleman, but eternally grateful I didn't get the short end with Kenny G.

Default Recently started to get back into listening jazz and would like to find more

I just recently started listening to more jazz again after a hiatus of ten years. These are some of my favorites and I'd like to find more stuff to listen to along the lines of them. I haven't had much success with the recommendations of similar artists by neither Spotify nor Lastfm.
Also if there are specific sub-genres that these fall into that I don't know the names of that would be most appreciated, I know that Nuspirit Helsinki was categorized as Nu Jazz at the time but I don't really enjoy most of the other Nu Jazz from that time as much (Jazzanova etc, stuff that has a jankier less flowing rhythm and more electronic influences) The other examples are also Finnish, one recent and the other from the 70s.

Nuspirit Helsinki - Seis Por Ocho (Original Jazz Session Mix)
Jukka Eskola - Siam Square
Olli Ahvenlahti - Sandy

Thanks!

I really need some male jazz vocals! I'm into Sinatra, Bennett, Nat Cole, Mark Murphy, Al Jarreau, Mel Tormé and I'm searching for some new male jazz vocalist Any recommendation?

Default some instrumental blues

I have been listening to blues etc... before it was really out there in good form.

I am looking for some strictly guitar blues. JUST guitar music--no vocals!
Also some violin / fiddle music --- the same no vocals just the instrument!
Like Papa John Chreech....

any help is appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing from someone

Check out some Jing Chi. Ford definitely leans on his bluesy side on those albums.
