Default Jonny Lang

I recently saw Jonny Lang perform live at the House of Blues in Anahiem, CA and it was one of the most amazing shows I've seen. He is so passionate about his music and put on an amazing performance. I can't wait to get the chance to see him again.

My moms friends burnt me his 'Turn Around' album.
He reminds me of Stevie Wonder, Especially from 'Innervisions'.

I wasn't too wild when I found out it was 'Christian music', but I was pleasantly surprised that the lyrics were optimistic and not preachy.

I've been following his career for a while now. He has an interesting voice and can play a decent blues guitar. And he is a great live performer. I've been to see him a couple times now.

Speaking of Stevie Wonder and 'Innervisions', have you heard Lang's live version of Livin' for the City? It's on his album 'Long Time Coming'. IMO, it's the best song on there, which isn't really saying much for the album if the best song is a cover. I prefer his albums 'Wander this World' and 'Lie to Me' much more. If anyone wants to check em out, let me know!

I know!! It's funny because my mom actually was a fan of him first when she saw him play when he was only 16!! He had so much soul and depth even at such a young age... truly incredible.

I really hope you get the chance to see him live... he doesn't disappoint!

I really like his earlier albums when he still had that genuine Blues sound. His new stuff doesn't really do it for me. I really hope that he releases a solid all Blues album again.

Jonny Lang
Actually, he released an album before that at the age of 14 or 15, with a band and under the name "Kid Jonny Lang". I haven't heard it though. "Lie to Me" was the first album I heard and I thought from the start that he was immensely talented. Unfortunately, I don't care for the direction he's gone since then. Each album released after "Lie to Me" was a little less interesting than the one before it. I read somewhere he's doing gospel music now or something like that.
