Best solos: Buddy Guy
My favorite guitar player has always been Buddy. Every note the man hits is exciting, not many guitar players can achieve that. Not to mention he can bend strings very gently or onto the back of the fret.
I watched the Eric Clapton "Crossroads" DVD and Buddy just blew away everybody on that stage, including B.B. and Clapton.

My favorite chunk of Buddy is First Time I Met The Blues from the movie Chicago Blues:
And, for good measure, Buddy and Junior doing Cryin' Shame from the same movie: No real histrionics, just blues playin'.
