Did anyone hear of Kenny Wayne Shepherd, he came to my town over the summer for this festival thing and just blew my mind. I read he is like one of the best blues guitarists.

Check out C. W. Stoneking. I was given his album to listen to a while back and thought I was listening to someone from the deepest south.

Just a few: Guitar Shorty, Michael Burks, Bernard Allison, Walter Trout, Lurie Bell, Sonny Landreth, Jimmy Thackery, Tinsley Ellis, Moreland & Arbuckle, Hillstomp, North Mississippi All-stars, and the venerable Buddy Guy is still sounding pretty modern.
