hey guys i know nothin bout jazz but i was wondering what is some fast/intricate jazz artists

Art Tatum was an extremely fast jazz pianist who is worth checking out, as is Jelly Roll Morton (though Jelly Roll is really old dixieland style jazz so he may not be what you're looking for). And Charlie Parker got pretty fast on the sax fairly often (check out the song "Salt Peanuts"). For more modern, edgier stuff check out John Zorn (especially his stuff with Naked City).

jaco pastorius is known for his accelerated tempos. i'd put squarepusher in that same league as well.
